Ilario - Owner: Lantern

Ilario is a bright-eyed and cheerful musician. He spends his time playing a variety of instruments, but mainly the piano and cello. His mother had always marveled at his talent before she left. Sh would even have him play concerts, but he never liked playing for large audiences. The only audience he plays for now is his brother, Demetrio. He and Demetrio are far more then just brothers; they are best friends, and despite the taboo, lovers.

Lilyana - Owner: Scarlett

On her first visit, she had arrived with enough cupcakes to give every child two, a tradition she kept to this day. They had been wary of her at first, but after spending all day with them, they warmed up to her. Lilyana had promised at the time that she would return every other Tuesday, a promise she had faithfully kept.

Zandra - Owner: Manhattan

It’s hard for her to believe sometimes that she’s really here, sitting at the edge of her favorite city in the world, knowing that she can just walk a few blocks back to her very own dorm, part of the great university she’s had her heart set on since middle school. Part of her is more content than she’s ever known…but part of her worries. “Am I here for the right reasons?” she wonders. She’s studying music business as a compromise; her passion for music had to be tempered by her family’s desire to see her in a major that might actually lead somewhere. But she’s not business-minded; she has no real skill or talent with numbers or figures or calculations. She doesn’t care about money; she cares about spreading love and joy and life.

Rue - Owner: Freya

Rue always has the look of a bird about to take flight. Her ears are perked, eyes alert and glittering with an odd, vibrant light, and every muscle in her body is standing by, waiting to spring into action. She seems constantly set for a quick take-off, even when there is no danger around…

Czechia - Owner: Pinto
“Viktor, I’m dreadfully sorry, but—” She paused as the train blew its whistle, a sound so shrill in the early morning. “—but I absolutely must go!” she continued. Czechia slipped out of his embrace and picked up the suitcase by her feet. The train had started to awaken, steam rose from its underbelly and an anemic cloud of soot began to wisp out the chimney of the engine. It was time to leave.

Matryoshka - Owner: Banshee
Yoshka grew up in Shadovsk, a quaint little village in the south of Ukraine and lived with her grandmother. She loved being by the Black Sea and took as many trips as she could to be near the water. Yoshka had never known either of her parents, and talking or hearing about them in her household was very, very rare. Almost so, that it seemed a bit mysterious…
